While for the most part YouTube videos have an age restriction for a good reason, from time to time there is a video that might be incorrectly flagged. If your YouTube account isn’t set to 18+, you’re out of luck…or are you?
There’s several simple ways to bypass this. My way of choice is by getting the embed code. Simply click “share”. You’ll get a window looking like this:
Then click “embed”. Copy the video embedding code. Or you can just copy the link it’s embedding, in this case http://www.youtube.com/embed/Gx0GxIdB-Xw. Open that in a new tab and it’ll play full screen.
But what if you don’t want it full screen, you want it in the normal viewing dimensions? Go to htmledit.squarefree.com, a realtime HTML editor. Simply paste the video’s embedding code into the box.
The video will then appear. Adjust the frame, then click play!
The full video will then play perfectly fine.
